Creating Enterprise announce new license agreement with Beattie Passive

Building on our relationship over the past 3 years of building Passivhaus homes through the Beattie Passive Flying Factory offering, Creating Enterprise is delighted to announce that we have entered into a license with Beattie Passive to exclusively build Passivhaus modular homes across North Wales.

As Beattie Passive’s delivery partner for North Wales, this new long term agreement allows us to build the very best in terms of energy efficient, carbon zero homes, certified by Beattie Passive.

Our innovative approach to building high quality homes, supports the Welsh Government’s ambitions to reduce carbon emissions from the housing sector and build more social and affordable homes.

The new homes can be built at scale and pace not only meeting the demand for new varied, housing stock but also deliver the required standards in terms of energy efficiency.

These environmentally friendly homes are built from sustainable materials. Using Modern Methods of Construction, they are locally manufactured using readily available materials and the timber frames are constructed in a ‘flying factory’ on-site, lowering our carbon footprint.

This new venture will also bring in additional income to meet our social purpose of creating employment opportunities for tenants and the local community. As we build more homes, we are able to support more people, often those who lack pre-existing skills and are furthest from the job market. Trainees learn new skills whilst working alongside qualified trades in new methods of construction enabling them to better themselves and their future prospects.

We believe that training and skills development of local communities (e.g. apprenticeships and work experience) are fundamental to developing long term sustainable construction solutions and this will continue to be a key focus of the partnership.

Creating Enterprise and Beattie Passive group’s values are already closely aligned and focus on supporting people to build the necessary skills to gain permanent employment, improve their life chances, and their wellbeing.

As well as offering local job opportunities we are able to bring further significant benefits to the local economy including developing a local supply chain by using local subcontractors. This means less transport time to site, further reducing our carbon footprint.

By building environmentally efficient housing, this will reduce the likelihood of future generations being homeless or in fuel poverty. The homes can offer a reduction in heating bills of up to 80% for the occupant.

As part of our business plan for the next 5 years, we will be building a minimum of 342 new homes across North Wales creating a range of 1 bed pods to 3 bed family houses.

We’re really excited about what the future holds for Creating Enterprise Modular Solutions and our partnership with Beattie Passive.
